Maryland Teacher Housing Grants

Housing grants of up to $8,000.00 are available to all Maryland teachers and staff, through the Teacher Next Door Program. Subject to availability, ALL teachers, grades Pre-K thru 12, as well as administrators and staff, will receive a minimum of a $1,000.00 NON-repayable GRANT to be used toward the purchase of a home. In addition to the grant, you may also be eligible for down payment assistance of up to $10,681.00. Plus, your Teacher Next Door Program Specialist may also review your eligibility for state specific government housing grants, if available, and how they may be used along with your Teacher Next Door grant and other benefits.
